Connect 99 was the first place I ever got down to electronic music. I was 16 years old and I was introduced to a scene that would forever change my life. There was crazy costumes and people dancing like wild animals and it was one of coolest things I had ever seen. One year later I started my own production company called Crippled Wheel Productions. Mentoring under Monty Wensel and Jeff Galaxy I quickly learned the ropes of the promotion game. A year after that I started collecting Vinyl and at the 9th Connect I played my first public set in the chill tent. This year will be 13th year in a row playing the festival and i am truly saddened that it will be my last as the festival is coming to a end. For me this festival is more like a family reunion then a festival. Currently I live in Squamish B.C and am the Entertainment Manager and Resident D.J
of The Knotty Burl Night Club where I play and host parties 3 days a week. When I moved to Squamish 6 years ago I got to mentor under Mat The Alien and he helped me up my DJ game hugely. I just played Tall Tree Festival and worked at Basscoast festival and I am bringing the prairie vibes to the west coast. When I am not DJ’ing at Connect you can find me ripping around in a golf cart, rocking out on the dance floor and taking care of our headliners travel needs. I have been lucky to be part of the Connect Tribe and held various different positions around the festival. As I am sad this will be the last one I also know that it will be one of the best and it will be a celebration of new beginnings for the tribe and our yearly family reunion. Much love to all my fellow connect tribe members and patrons and I will see you on the dance floor.
